Why visit both palaces
Bahia is known for decorated rooms, planted riads and late nineteenth-century craftsmanship. El Badi presents open ruins, sunken gardens and the scale of a sixteenth-century Saadian royal complex.
Plan the short connection
Walk via Place des Ferblantiers toward the Kasbah. Save both entrances because Medina lanes and temporary access arrangements can shift, and allow separate admission for each monument.
Choose the order
Start at Bahia near opening for quieter interiors, then continue to El Badi when you are ready for a more exposed outdoor visit. In hot weather, carry water and avoid placing both visits at midday.
