The published visiting hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily. Arrive well before closing and check the official ticket portal on the day because holidays, restoration or special arrangements can affect access.

The official 2026 price is 100 MAD for a foreign adult and 50 MAD for a foreign child aged 7–13. Moroccan citizens and residents have reduced rates. Recheck the official portal before paying because prices can change.

You can use Morocco’s Ministry of Culture ticket portal or buy admission at the entrance when gate sales are available. Booking ahead is useful when you have a tight schedule, but compare third-party offers with the official price.

Allow 60 to 90 minutes for a comfortable first visit. About one hour covers the principal rooms and courtyards; ninety minutes gives you more time for ceilings, zellige, gardens and photographs.

The first hour after the 9:00 AM opening is usually the calmest choice, with cooler courtyards and softer light. In summer, morning is especially useful for avoiding the strongest heat.

Bahia Palace is in the southern Medina near the Mellah and Place des Ferblantiers. Save the palace pin before entering the narrow streets and use a visible nearby landmark if GPS drifts.

Prioritise the Grand Courtyard, the smaller planted riads, painted cedar ceilings, carved plaster and hand-cut zellige. The transitions between narrow rooms and open courts are part of the experience.

Personal photography is generally part of the visitor experience, but follow signs and staff instructions, avoid blocking doorways and do not photograph people closely without permission. Rules for tripods or commercial work may differ.

Many principal visitor areas are on the ground floor, but historic thresholds, uneven paving and temporary route changes can make access uneven. Ask staff for the easiest route on arrival.

Families can enjoy the open courtyards, fountains, tile patterns and gardens. Keep children close around busy passages and delicate surfaces, and plan a shorter visit if they tire quickly.
