Start with the courtyard
Use the first open courtyard to understand the light before chasing details. The strongest frames often combine an arch, a shadow line and one human scale reference rather than filling the frame with decoration.
Look up and down
Painted cedar ceilings, carved plaster and zellige floors change character as the angle shifts. Hold the camera level for geometric panels, then lower it slightly to include a threshold or fountain and make the craft feel part of the architecture.
Respect the visit
